Hi,
I just got my new FMS Cobra Intake and it has the oil baffle that causes oil to be sucked up the pcv. I want to know if there is an oil baffle under the original that I could use on the cobra intake.
Thanks
Tom

Get ahold of FMS, shoot them an email or something, there have been several guys that have had the same problem with the Cobra intake and FMS sent them a new, revised baffle to fix the problem.

Ok but, I read that the cobra intake use the same baffle as the stock HO intake. Also that if I get a new PCV valve and screen. It should not suck oil up in the upper intake? I am asking this because I held that it is a PITA amnit: to change the baffle.

Call Ford.
They revised the baffle on the Cobra, and will have to mail you a new part.

changing the pcv and screen is always a good idea! But it won't always solve the oil issues.

It would be more of a PITA to deal with puddles of oil in the intake and increased detonation for the next 10 yrs of the motors life.
It is worth it to do the baffle now.

No. I've been through this whole thing. In fact, I think I was the first. Lucky me. Do exactly what Vristang said. They'll send you a new gasket set as well as the baffle.

What do you have to do to get the old one off and put the new one on?

Once I found out that the HO and Cobra Intake baffles were the same I left mine alone. I did buy a new PCV, Screen, and grommet for it though. And I havent had a drop of oil get into the intake yet.

Yea that is what I was thinking of doing. Since there isn't any oil in my upper intake now.
