Engine Genius installed oil filler above rocker arm…

Well, I’ve been having issues with oil getting into the intake and decided to start diving into it. My car has trickflow heads with the trickflow valve cover. The TF valve cover has no baffle in it. The genius owner before me decided to mount the oil filler tube right above a rocker arm. The TF filler tube has a nipple for a vacuum hose that mounts to it and goes into the intake. So the oil is shooting up through there and getting sucked into the intake.

Any thoughts on the best way to fix this?
Plug the nipple and don’t run the vacuum line from the filler neck? Would this cause an issue with the Pcv system?

Buy a new valve cover and just move the filler tube to the end?

Put a wad of steel wool inside the fill tube so that it's secure and won't drop into the crank case.

Is the oil in your intake right behind the TB or further down (above the driver side valve cover)?

You realize that the factory set up adds the oil above the rocker arms and it has a vent tube to the TB. Any time I have had oil in the upper intake is when the PCV valve was allowing too much vapour by and it would accumulate above cylinder 8 in the intake. Eventually it would be enough to get sucked into the combustion chamber and fowl the plug. Fixed it by putting the factory mesh insert into the lower intake below the PCV.

I run the tall Motorsport valve covers that have the bosses on the underside of where you can cut a hole for the filler neck or PCV. Used a hole saw to make the filler neck opening and welded a TrickFlow aluminum filler neck to the valve cover. Tapped the bosses and installed the baffle plate. I also have rocker arm girdles so that helps with the splash.

You can see oil dripping from the TB onto the valve cover. It’s all over the throttle cable underneath. When I removed the cobra intake there was a little oil behind the TB and above where it mounts to the lower intake. Oil is being pushed up from the filler neck through the PCV hose. When I pulled the filler neck off you can see the rocker arm right under it. No baffle Nothing. From what I read the Tricklflow valve covers do not have baffles and you want to mount the neck in an area to avoid oil shooting back up through the filler. Obviously, you don’t want it above a rocker.

Doesn't sound like ideal placement. You could plug it and swap that VC to the other side. Then move over the undrilled valve cover and locate the filler neck in the proper spot.

I'm installing TF valve covers and found a guy that makes a baffle kit for them. I ordered one, but can't vouch for it just yet.
