cobra intake with 1inch spacer clear hood?

your help is appreciated, using a cobra upper and lower, will a 1 inch spacer clear factory gt hood??

don't know about a 1", but I've used a 3/8" and it just barely cuts into the hood blanket near the cobra emblem on the top. I'd think a 1" wouldn't clear.

NO! The Cobra R mustang used a 351 windsor engine which is about 1" higher than a 302 and the Cobra R came with a 3" cowl hood. I have a 95 mustang with the GT40 Tube intake with a 1" spacer to clear the valve covers and I new it would not fit under the stock hood. I went to a Cobra R 3" cowl hood.

Actually they came with a 1 1/2"

I have a GT40 tubular with a 3/8" spacer. It required notching out the factory hood brace to fit the frontmost bolt head. So, a 1" would definitely be too much. You should be able to get away with doing what I did if you have a 3/8" spacer, though not recommended. I was also running Fox body valve covers.
