yes i pulled the distributor out when i did the intake swap. I marked everything on the distributor where everything was the rotor, cap took pictures. But i have been told i have to set the number one piston up and do it all that way. I am not sure how to set timing as i have never done it before. Just another thing i need to learn how to do. but i thought that if i just marked everything and put it back together the same way it was before it would be ok.
Yeah you can mark the location but get the time exact to where it needs to me has to be done with a timeing light. get it close and take it to a shop or get a timeing light and set it. I'am sure that someone on here has all the step to set the timeing.
P.S You don't really have to pull the dizzy to do an intake swap.
