cobra rear brake swap

what do i need off an 03 cobra to swap the brakes onto my car? is the actual plate that bolt to the axle tube the same and the caliper barcket is longer?

I believe you can not get everything you need from the '03 Cobra to do the swap. The Cobra IRS knuckle has the bracket integral. You need the bracket from a Mach or Bullit.

damn, any idea on the cost of those brackets??

The calipers are identical.

I wouldn't spend the money. Not that much gained.

i'm looking at a whole cobra setup front and rear for $300 plus shipping. i just need to know what the guy needs to remove from the cobra to install all the brakes on my car.

The calipers should be the same. You'll need something like this kit to install it on your solid axle though.

i've seen that kit but it looks like the only part of it that is necessary to install the brakes is the bracket that boltsto the axle tube. the anti-moan stuff wont work from what i've read and i really dont care about the dust shields.

Call Ford or ask Randy for the bracket. The bracket is the essential piece. You can't get that piece from the Cobra. I also think the only place you are going to get the piece is Ford - since you do not want the kit.

the anti moan brackets do work you just have to route the U bolts THROUGH the shock mount bracket NOT in front of it. I kno because it did it on my car.
