cobra swap????

can you put any of the cobra engines into my 98gt? and if you can do you know of any good places to get the engines? thanks

yes, and junk yard 93-98 mark 8 and 96+ cobra's, start looking

Yeap gotta agree with Tom. Then you'll need a good place to tune it all. I know Modular depot has tuned a SC one, and I bet MPH wouldn't have a problem with it.

get 96 and up dohc. or aviator. mark viii. or swap internals for lincoln 4.6 dohc front wheel drive. block won't work, but internals will. also FWD motors are cheap.

Bill, what exactly is the advantage to swapping out to the Continental (FWD DOCH) engine internals? As far as I know, they're still all cast components, and a nodular iron cranks, just like the Mark VIII's? As far as I remember, only the Cobra's got the steel cranks.

find a wrecked 96 up cobra and get everything from it. motor, ecu, tranny, clutch and all the bs that goes iwth it if youre an auto.

www.karcraft.com has some decent deals on low mile stuff. i would go with a mach1/aviator motor for the money now. or maybe hold off until the new explorer 3v's start hitting the used market

i cant get to the website now...whats am i doing wrong?

it isn't as good as forged, but it will still live to 6200. how much more is needed?
