here's the situation, i changed the oil today, and then after, i degreased the motor and washed it down( i did it pretty gentle). then i warmed the car up, and then took it for a short ride. on the way back, i went around a corner in 2nd pretty hard, and the tires roasted, the motor felt like it tached out, and the power was shut off. it was fine til i got it home. i went to get it out again, and it took like 15 sec of turning it over to get it going. then i drove it, and it seemed very hesitant. it felt like it was sputtering. any ideas guys, i'm having a breakdown thanks

I'd probably 1st pop the cap and wires and make sure there's no water in there.

I was driving around once and right when I slammed 3rd gear the entire engine shut off. Freak the hell outta me, I thought I blew it up.

The battery cable just came loose.

Just check all electrical connections, pull the plugs out of the dist to make sure they arent wet and throw a fan on the engine bay overnight.

I was driving home from work Thurs. morning and my car just decided to shut itself down on me. Thought the fuel pump quit. I left it in a grocery store parking lot till I could get a buddy to follow me home. Well, we went back late that night, started right up. Got back at it today, started right up. Wound up swapping the fuel filter and cap and rotor anway, have a fuel pump standing by, we'll see what happens in the next few days. By the way it poured rain the night all this happened, maybe something just dried out...good luck man, later

I still think it got too wet. Happens all the time when we wash engines @ our shop, we just blow out all the water with an air hose and it works fine. Being it started right up, even though it idled bad, tells me it's drying up. JTKZ has a good idea as well not saying it has to be wet.

The only fuel cut off I know of is in the trunk, left hand side. How about your coil and/or fuse box. Either of those being wet could cause some stumbling.

Thats why I dont ever hose off the engine. I'd rather get as much as I can with a wet rag and spray engine cleaner where I have to.
