Something is broken or acting wrong in the fuel injection system. I doubt it is the fuel rail- probably an injector or fuel pump.
I was missing an o ring on my new intake when I re-installed the fuel rail. I learned the hard way when I fired the car up and it ran like . The o-ring was still attached to the previous intake manifold (luckily), so I just had to put it back on the fuel rail.
My point is even then, it didn't throw any codes. So I think it has something to do with the injectors or pump since it is being so specific. Is it running funny?
Potential causes for this code to set are:
High fuel pressure
Low fuel pressure
Damaged FRP sensor
Excessive resistance in the circuit
Vacuum leaks
Low or no fuel
