Hello
I have a 2006 Mustang V6 4.0 and my car just died on me last week. A code came up on my dash DTE ODO. The mechanic is having a hard time diagnosing the problem. He has never seen this code and it's never done this. Does anyone know how it help? Please respond. Thank you!

Mechanic should not be relying on the cluster and should be plugging his scan tool in.

By 2005 Ford was moving to modules so he’d need to use a better scan tool that can read module based DTCs. Amazon has a few.


I beleive DTE is “distance to empty” and ODO is “odometer”. It’s likely a menu selection but would need to see pics

I know that is correct about the codes. The mechanic said that his scanner won't sinc with my computer. All the diagnostic tests aren't working. Now what?
