Are coil spring insulators necessary when installing new 620 springs? If they are is there any trick to getting them in? Should you have the insulators on the springs then install them or should you put the insulators on the tabs first?

I put new insulators in mine when I put 620's in. They go on the springs first...you just have to squeeze/twist and kick the neighbors cat a couple of times before you find the best method to put them on the spring. If you want them to squeak mercifully, leave them off.

I pry the spring apart to get them started and turn them on like a big nut.
