"cold Air" Alternative?

It wouldn't alter the "function" of the cold air intake in the sense that swapping the tubes isn't going to change intake air charge temperature a whole lot. Its selling point is that is "smooths" out the airflow from the air filter to the throttle body and offers less restriction. How much that improves horsepower I'm guessing is minimal, if at all.
