Looking at getting a cold air intake. Anybody have experience with the Roush intake. or the WMS kit. I plan on adding a tuner later. What are your recomendations? Its for a GT/CS.

Gunnerdog, the reason you aren't getting any replies is because this topic has been discuss to death on this and every other Mustang forum. That being said, I would strongly reccomend getting a CAI/tuner package. If that is not in your budget right now then you should wait until it is in my opinion. The gains of a CAI without a tune are minimal, whereas the gains with a tune are amazing. Do a CAI search and do some reading and you will find that most will agree.

C&L intake packages are good as are the JLT intake packages.

WMS has a little more involved install than the C&L and JLT just because of the design but I have heard nothing but good things about them.

I love my WMS!!!!! I just haven't had any problems that require a trip to the dealer to know what their reaction to it would be as you have to rearrange underhood items for the install that aren't easily undone to stock(moving the overflow bottle to stock filter location, rerouting/lengthening radiator hoses,splicing/lengthening MAF wires)...it however does not require a reflash of the computer to work properly.

The WMS package does some good gains without a tuner and I think looks cool but like the others here I didn't want to splice the wiring for the MAF. That being said I went for the C&L Street and have been very happy with it. I read recently that they have a no tuner piece that sleeves the Mass Air Meter so you get some improvements in performance (only a slight drop in HP) and run without a tuner until you're ready to buy one. I think it's a $10 piece for those that want to buy it separately but they seem to indicate on their site that it will ship with every kit in the near future.

i would look at the c&l cai kit, i just installed mine today it did come w/ a sleeve for a no tune option. installation was very easy. if you are planning on getting a tuner you should consider the tuner/cai package. i have a diablo tuner and noticed immediate difference after tune. good luck!!

DeMolet CAI

I struggled with this for a while - BBK, Granatelli, C&L, K&N, AFE, Airaid,
with or without tuner???? Ended up going with the DeMolet and tuner.
Loved the DeMolet carbon look. Haven't looked back. As hot as that 4.6
runs the metal pipe versions troubled me a little bit. The JLT is a great choice
too but I ljust like the look of the DeMolet better. Going w/o the tuner is better
than stock but not much.

C&L Racer with SCT Bamachips tune. Love it. Like everybody will say, the tune is definitely worth the money for the number of easy ponies you will pick up.
