Most people on here are going to tell you that CAIs are worthless. Most people that have actually dyno'd before/after have only seen 1-3hp. I ended up buying a Steeda CAI for a couple reasons. It looks better than the stock intake tube and it pushes the filter just behind the headlight so when I go to the track I can pull my headlight for some fresh air. It also has a heat sheild to help seperate the filter from the rest of the engine bay. Who knows how much gain it will be, but it can't hurt.

Nick, with your CAI, TB, and Plenum, I'm sure you have pretty decent gains over stock

Just put the K&N in the factory box and trim the silencer so its got a larger whole in it , or just take it out

sell ya my anderson cheap. I love it, but I'm getting a Paxton s/c any day now, and I'll have no use for it. There is no better CAI.

www.andersonfordmotorsport.com
go to AFM products, and then "power pipes" for 4.6 scroll down, for pics, and dyno graph.
AF-0118C
Ceramic coated, large mandrel bent pipe, holds MAF outside engine bay.

anybody that tells you CAI is a worthless mod just doesnt understand it. it is a worthless mod on a dyno cuz the car is standing still, but when youre moving at high rpm youll understand the 9-12 they claim it will get. the car pulls alot more and thats where CAI helps you.. at the track when youre moving.. of course its not goin to help you on a dyno, theres no air flowing to it cuz the cars not moving.. i have the BBK kit and it works like a charm.. ill recommend it to anyone.. great power for the money

I honestly think you know nothing about cars. On a dyno, there is a FAN blowing air into the bay. regardless, the CAI will do little on a stock N/A car. period.

If you want a gain in power, don't go with the BBK or MAC. Both look good, but are garbage. I know as I had one. Replaced it with the Steeda CAI as shown above before I got blown. It looks good, and has a seat of the pants improvement with better throttle response. Down side is it is quite pricey.

Go with the K&N FIPK II. The people that tell you to trim the silencer and install a K&N filter can keep their setup. If you look at the stock intake tube it has a huge restriction on the underneath just before the throttle body. Plus it isn't as smooth as an aftermarket part. When I installed my setup I noticed an increase in HP, plus better throttle response. Granted my car isn't stock. And that fan infront of the car when it is dyno'd is no where near pushing air 30mph+ to gain the effect that the CAI sees on the streets or track.
