I ended up buying a Steeda CAI for a couple reasons. It looks better than the stock intake tube and it pushes the filter just behind the headlight so when I go to the track I can pull my headlight for some fresh air. It also has a heat sheild to help seperate the filter from the rest of the engine bay. Who knows how much gain it will be, but it can't hurt.

go to AFM products, and then "power pipes" for 4.6 scroll down, for pics, and dyno graph.
AF-0118C
Ceramic coated, large mandrel bent pipe, holds MAF outside engine bay.

If you look at the stock intake tube it has a huge restriction on the underneath just before the throttle body. Plus it isn't as smooth as an aftermarket part. When I installed my setup I noticed an increase in HP, plus better throttle response. Granted my car isn't stock. And that fan infront of the car when it is dyno'd is no where near pushing air 30mph+ to gain the effect that the CAI sees on the streets or track.
