Cold Air Intake....

Cheap and simple will not happen with regards to an intake for the S197 V6. An intake requires a tune. If there is a claim by any of the manufacturers that a tune is not required you'd be luck to get 5-7 hp out of such an "intake"

So regardless of what tube and filter you get, you will need to put down for an SCT Xcal2 or Diablo Sport Predator to fix the Air/Fuel ratio. Bottom line is you are looking at $500 at the very least.

My advise is research all of them to find the one that breaths the best and has the best heat shield, then go to eBay and get a Xcal 2 packaged with the resulting CAI for the cheapest you can find it.

Out of all of the intake that don't require a tune, the Airaid looks like the most interesting to me.

in many other forums many choose the C&L w/SCT2 tuner. There are 3 or 4 tuners who have received plenty of accolades.
