I hear the short grind for a second after cold startup. Is starter going bad on my '00 GT ?
I don't remember this issue from previous winters, but I was living in Philly before. Nights are much colder here in Colorado.
On the other hand, I was searching the web and found exactly the same issue discussed for 2007 toyota. Toyota claimed it is normal for very cold startups:
