No, the hand-held tuner (whether it be the XCalibrator I or II, or Predator) locks itself to your vehicle (via the VIN) once a non-factory tune is installed to your car. The only way to unlock it (to either sell it or use it on another vehicle) is to return your car to the stock tune. No way around it It's a great tool to have for gears, different size rear tires, fan speeds, etc.
I went with the cai from Tunableinduction.com along with the sct xcal 2 and have been grinning since. after some research this system seems comparable to the jlt system. I have not heard anything in these forums about the system I purchased and would like to know if it is really any different then the jlt system.

I am confused, I was told that reprogramming the computer (the flash tune) would void the warranty....was I told incorrectly? I was looking at the K&N for the simple reason it did not require a tune.
So far nobody has said anything about the Airaide intake. I guess it is still new enough that not too many people know about it. Well I have the Airaide intake and I am very pleased with it, actually "pleased" is not what I mean, I mean it f-in rocks. It was just what I was looking for and if you are planning on doing alot of mod's like a cam, headers, highflow cats and exhaust and you have access to a dyno and a custom tuning shop it will be worth the money. It is not the only CAI that does not need a tune to give you a HP increase but when you start modding the engine than you can remove the modular venturi from the intake and get a custom dyno tune and make even more HP because of the increased air flow. Any body else have this intake? or if you have any questions about it just ask me.
