Has anyone here ever used a ford racing short throw shifter....? See i want one bad and i got a charge card with summit racing and they have a hand full to choose from, and i saw the ford racing one and figured it had to be decent? but if you know of any others that are better that summit offers let me know! thanks alot in advance!

I am happy with my Steeda Tri-Ax....but it's honestly the only one I have used, so basically my opinion is worthless.

MGW, Pro 5.0 and the Tri-Ax are the top 3. I would stick with one of those for the money.

I have always heard Pro 5.0 and Tri-Ax are the best, I don't know what MGW is.

The only short throw shifter I have ever had on a 5.0 was an older Hurst. It rattled like all hell when I was on the gas at high RPM's. I got it for $40 so I was happy, but it wasn't a great shifter.

I had one on my T5(before it gave out) and I loved it. It shifted really nicely and 3rd was a breeze. You just had to push the shifter up and it just pops into 3rd. It has pretty unlimited adjustibility as to which angle you wanted the shifter at. Well heres the website http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_1990-2004.shtml

Thats what I got and I absolutely hate that MOFO!!!!!!!!! It sucks more than a porno star!!!!!!!! It loosened up at bit with time but it is notchy as hell and more sloppy than the same **** star mentioned above. There is not one nice thing I can say about it. Sorry.

I wish I would have kept my Pro 5.0 from my previous Stang.

my buddy has one and he thinks my pro50 is 100x better. sorry. btw, what shifters can you even order from summit?? do they carry pro50, steeda, or mgw?? last i checked i didnt think so....if thats the case then you either a) are getting a Ripper or b) aren't gonna get to use that new credit card.

my vote goes to pro50. I got mine from Jegs and they price matched whoever was the lowest. I think i found CJponyparts the lowest at the time-I was in a hurry, money was burning a hole in my pocket and i live right down the street from Jegs. Its a short little stick it comes with but thats fine with me. Like said, it feels like your much more in control of where the shifter goes.
