i managed to track down a gasket for the passenger side of my exhaust where headers meet down tubes but i searched allover this site and can't find the "doughnut" gasket for the drivers side. all help truly appreciated

I dont think the driver's side has a gasket. Look at your midpipe and you will see that the passenger side and driver side pipes are different... the driver's seals almost like how a tennis ball would sit in the top of a cup.

Driver's side doesn't have one. You are probably thinking of the flange that MAC sends with their midpipes to help seal the driver's side due to the stock header studs not being fully threaded.
