It probably will, but you're gonna have to clay them anyway. It would irresponsible of anyone to tell you otherwise.

Yes I am going to a 410, with AFR 205s.

I am also planning to build a 331 that will have the XE274 cam and either AFR 185s or Windsor Seniors. That is what I am going to do with my 302 after it is out of the car.

This is purely for information ... I was curious if anyone actually has used AFR 165s with a XE274 cam on a stock bottem end.

I know this doesn't help answer your question, but for sure you won't be able to use stock pistons and AFR 185s.

yeah, the 331 will have probe pistons. they are actually sitting on my desk at work. you should see some of the looks i get when people stop by to ask me a question sor something.
