Computer Ground Wire Question

well thats not what Ford is saying when i called. They said not just any A9l will work. there are specific codes that go to each car and if you mix then it wont control right. the computer i have is an A9l and it isnt working. soooo... im looking for another one........ and i dont want to buy a computer that doesnt work!

People been using A9l's from different years cars for years with no issue at all. The fact that you have an A9L from maybe a different year car is not the problem. Its either the ECM is faulty, or you have a wiring issue.

Its not because your car is a 91 with an 89 A9L(example by the way).

Apparently you just want to replace parts and possibly waste money. Kind of a Hap-hazard way of doing things. It may or may not fix your issue.

For what its worth the A9L in my 89 Coupe is from a 92 GT. Drive it daily with out any issues.
