Considering 4 eye conversion

Here is what I know of

bumpercover, all front lights, all trim(beltline), hood. I have found all of these parts at 50resto or year one. i'm wondering about stuff like dealer only nuts/bolts(headligt adjusters or hood latch) and stuff like that.
I need a bumper cover anyway the ligts aren't too bad, but I am looking at a cowl hood to incase i decide to go with a 351 in the future. If i'm buying the stuff, i might as well 'upgrade' :D

Thats pretty much what my car is. But it is a true 86 with everything from an 89LX.. I mean everything from suspension, fuell system, brakes, interior and every wiring harness. Stripped my 86 down to just a body and swapped everything over from an 89LX that was hit in the front & totaled..

thats a capri front end (with a custom paint job and lots of money into it)....but anyways, i was thinking of doing the same thing (and still am). you'll need a new front bumper cover, new hood, molding for front of wheel well of front of fenders (there isnt a big enough difference to notice unless you really look at it, bumper supports are different im pretty sure, head light brackets and turn signal brackets. if youre really interested PM v8only, he owns a website that specializes in 4 eye stangs....hes definetly got some stuff to get it done right.

when i got my car it had an aero nose and i just found a '85 lx that was burnt up and got everything off of it for $50

most everything was a derect replacement except for the plug in for the lights
here are pics befor and after

Thanks guys. I don't know if this will become a reality or not. I'd like to do it, but there are things the car needs more right now. I've found that everything but the fender extensions are available.

I do know about the trim(side moulding), wouldn't hurt to do that as it is starting to curl up on the ends.

Unfortunately we don't have to many salvage yards around here, especially ones with older cars (90 and newer mostly)

I also have to budget in a new rear spoiler (the saleen spoiler looks like a party deck on the back of my car, no offense to those who have a saleen spoiler it's just not for me)

Be very careful when converting to a 4 eyed stang/capri. I have an 85 capri mcLaren and 86 5.0 capri. VERY hard to find parts. NOBODY I KNOW makes new moldings for the 85/86 mustang. They are specific to those years. And NOBODY I KNOW makes a bumper cover for the 85/86 mustang GT or CAPRI RS. You can find the non-GT stuff, but most people want the GT/RS bumper covers that allows for the nice marchel square fog lamps. If you ever get hit in the front, forget it, you will never find a NEW bumper cover. If anyone has different info than me on NEW (not used) bumper covers for a 85/86 capri or mustang, please let me know. Someone just hit my 85 mclaren and I had to pay $350 for a USED capri GS bumper cover and $440 for the mclaren air-dam. Makes me cry when an entire 87-93 GT bumper cover is only $140.
