I am thinking about asking for a GTech SS/RR meter for christmas. I was just curious if anyone had these? Any opinions? Do you like it? Does it really work like they say it does?

For the price of the GTECH, you might as well go to the track like 10 times and get 6 dyno runs in... No offense but I do not see why anyone would need a product like this. It just gives estimates which really doesn't do much except cause bragging rights that no one is going to believe. I bet it says my car with 300hp and 2.73 gears has less HP than a car with 250hp and 4.10s.

actually, it doesnt. you have no idea how it really works.

i've never used those models, but you DEFINETELY want to get the one you can download and view on your computer. The gtech is very consistant and can be a great tuning tool if you dont live near a track. (nearest track here is 2hrs away). Helps ALOT with shiftpoints and launching.

Has nothing to do with gears, it just measures your accelleration force. Search for g tech and you'll find a thread I started a while back about how it works. And around here $300 will get you ONE dyno run (no tuning, just a printout). I'm going to start driving to mass if you can get 10 track runs and 6 dynos for $300 there.

Where the heck have you been going for dyno runs? Try Bristol Dyno and talk to Jonathan there. He hooks up our club members like crazy.

that should have said $100 not $300. Pruven is the only place I know of around me, Bristol's kinda a troop but maybe I'll check it out some time.
