Does anyone know where this plugs in? Has 2 terminals with 2 black wires on one side and 2 blue wires on the other one. It's on a 93 mustang

The alt blue/Red Stripe is likely a lighting circuit. That’s very standard on Ford wiring. Post a pic of the connector end so we can I’d it.

So under that console if I remember is the cigarette lighter, ashtray light, AOD shifter light, and a driver side seatbelt connection.

The cigarette lighter is already hooked up so check connections for the other three (or two if not an AOD).

Lighter and light are on a different plug in under the console and all hooked up , left seatbelt receiver is hooked up can't find anything else it could go to maybe it was never hooked up? Bought my car in pieces and trying to get wiring figured out...

Wait, maybe I should have asked before assuming. Is it a red wire with a blue stripe or blue wire with a red stripe? If it’s the first, it appears to be wire 979, part of the seat motor system:

Driver Seat — 1993 Ford Mustang V8-302 5.0L HO Service Manual | Operation CHARM

Detailed repair manual for the 1993 Ford Mustang V8-302 5.0L HO.

I maybe be mistaken, but it’s in the right spot and if you don’t have power seats, it might be one of those situations where Ford put the same harness whether or not you have power seats. Good luck.

i found these photos of some of the wiring under the console.
You did say the ashtray lighter is hooked up but confirm that because I can’t help but to point this out.
Your plug wire colors (2 black and 2 bluish with the stripe) seem to be the same that’s in the photo. The plug that may be yours is circled in white and the black wires have red arrows pointing to them and the blue have yellow arrows just so you can see what I’m talking about… that plug then connects to another plug of which a black and blue wire come out of (well in the photo it looks that way) and connect to the ashtray lighter which is mounted to the lighter. That unit is circled in red.
I hope not to cause confusion and this may not even be what your looking for but it doesn’t hurt to double check that ashtray lighter if it’s actually working because it may get plugged into the harness in question.
Take a look at the photos and see if it makes any sense.

I also think @Mcmahst may be onto something.

If not give it another day and some of these guys who are wiring gurus will answer. It’s the holiday weekend so many aren't here right now.

Well maybe I should have held back. The more I look at your plug and the one in the photo I am not confident that they are one in the same although the wires look same colors. Your two black wires look right next to one another and the same with your blues where as the ones in the photo are more spread apart. Also the plastic housing itself. Donno maybe it’s the pics. Give it a look anyway, otherwise someone here will likely know for sure and if it’s the power seat plug or not.

Thanks guys for your time. I've spent hours looking at diagrams trying to figure out where it goes. I'll wait a few days and if know one knows I'll just put it together unplugged it doesn't have power seat

Image was taken from the '92 wiring diagram section of my Chilton's Repair Manual. It looks like your connector is for the PRNDL Illumination connector. So if you don't have an automatic you won't use this connector.

You would benefit by purchasing the EVTM book for your make/model car. If you have more than one wiring question, this will help you answer the question. Good luck.

I know i'm late, but light blue/red stripe is standard in the Mustang for instrument illumination.

In this case, it is the PRNDL light plug. 2 wires in each side

As for the EVTM, I like this PDF version as it contains all 87-93 EVTM's and you can search it. $28 I do have paper copies as well but i rarely use them now. Above image taken from the '93 EVTM
