Convertible trunk enclosure

Anybody have opinions on the best location for a trunk enclosure on a '98 Cobra convertible & still retain the maximum amount of storage space?

I'm considering either mounting the amplifier & subwoofer on opposite sides of the trunk, mounting both along the back of the trunk in a common enclosure (similar to my SVT Contour) or mounting the amplifier across the back & the sub in the spare tire well.

Each has their pros & cons, so I wanted to know how others may have done it.

At the shop where I work,we've had good luck putting the amp just about anywhere and the sub in the spare tire well. Then for more in-cabin output(and a little more money of course) we build a baffle board that sits over the sub and extends to the back of the back seat. You only need to make the baffle board a couple inches tall and the convertible top sits on top of it nicely and gives much better sound inside the car.

I mounted my two amps and cap to the inside of my trunk lid. I don't have subs in there though. I put those inside the car where the rear stock speakers were.
