Convertible V6 Heat Problem

Hello all,

Yesterday was my first time driving my new baby: A 2005 White convertible V6 beauty.

I noticed the following issues with heat while driving it for some time:

1- Lots of hot air above the windshield, I'm tall and bald so this is kinda annoying

2- My friends nagged about a LOT of heat coming through the passenger's floor vents.

3- The hood is at inferno temperature even after turning off the engine for 30 minutes.

The engine temperature gauge shows normal. The Air Conditioning is always turned off.

Any ideas?

With the air off, you should at least have the vents open for air flow. Our '07 GT Vert we had was the same way. Always seemed warm air was coming into the cabin when the A/C was off.

I just bought a 2005 v6 convrt as well. I just set the selection knob in the center o position and it stop the warm air. I also keep the round vents closed most of the time as well. But the warm air is sure nice on a cool night with the top down. Have fun and enjoy the summer.

Congrats on the new-to-you 'stang! I suggest visiting your local dealer to verify the heat emanating from the hood is normal.
