converting from return to returnless fuel system

im going to be converting from the stock 96 gt return fuel system to a returnless system. i know i need new lines, new ecu, new tank, and new pump(s) i already got the returnless rail. anyone know if im missing anything, or any advise for this project? thanks a lot!
 
dude don't change it. i just put a 5.4 3v in mine, and to add a supercharger i need return with bigger pump. very cheap. it does not require modulated pump or pump booster modulators. you are changing from the best setup to the worst. plus with return style a regulator allows global adjustment of air/fuel ratio without reprogamming computer. just a turn of a screw.
 
i was looking into converting so i could use my 99+ series 2 blower. another route is modifying the fuel rail so its pushed towards the front more so the blower will clear. i think converting to a returnles system would cost too much.
 
If the 96GT regulator is in the way, just remove it and block off the flange and then tee into the fuel line near the fenderwell and run a new line to an Aeromotive A-1000 regulator and hook the return line to the stock return line and run a sensing line to the manifold. Adjust it for 40 psi and you are done.

You can't convert your 96 car to a return style easily and I wouldn't even try it.

Are you buying this blower brand new? If so, I can think of a better option for you for less money......and it will allow you to keep the return system in tact. :)
 
so i could theoretically get the supercharger to fit (it replaces the intake manifold) if i bought the universal rail at rpmoutlet, and got a remote fuel regulator, and then relocated my alternator for clearance, and reroute the fuel lines? sounds like a lot less work than i figured.
