Does anyone know where to find a Hurst T-Handle knob with the H shaped 4 speed pattern on it. All I can find is used?!

has anyone seen a t-handle shift knob with the H-pattern in summit? I can't find it anywhere. (see jesserose's post above). Is he talking about the t-handle, or the white knob with the pattern, because I've seen those, just not the kind I want.

it'd be pretty tough to get an old knob up to new standards. They have the look of brushed aluminum, with glossy black paint in the H-pattern while the numbers and "hurst" are raised and not painted black. Also, there are just too many knicks and scratches on any of the used ones. Maybe I'll just splurge and buy a good new one for $50 bucks and sell mine for 20.

You would be amazed at what you can restore with a little imagination and patience. I could have it looking better than new in a few hours. When you do rare older cars there are not always parts available so you learn how to restore the old parts and I'm sure you could do some magic on that shifter handle unless you just would rather spend the $50....personal preference.

See the pictures above. If anyone can restore mine to look like that, give me your adress and I'll ship it to you with $20 for your trouble. OR if you have any advice on how a novice like me could make it look half that good, feel free to chime in, because there's no way I could make it any worse than it is.
