I am trying to find the instructions to install a switch for a cooling fan override. So i can switch on my cooling fan and not have to leave my key in the ignition. This is very helpful to me at the track.

There used to be a full page on how to do this, how ever i tryed searching for it and cant find anything now.

Thanks.

it should work like normal but w/ the ability to turn it on manually. i havnt done this mod though, so you might want to try and find soneone who has done it and ask them

it will work like normal unless you turn it on, then it will stay on all the time. Works good at the track unless you kill your battery waiting to run. Been there done that, but I think my battery was weak anyway - Having the fan run constantly cools tha engine completely pretty quickly. Just turn the fan off when you run. Mor electrical for the pass. Seems to help me anyway.

I just noticed you want your fan to be on w/o the key in the ignition. Must be different than what I did. My engine can be off, but has to have the key in the ignition to run the fan that way.

Tim just lowered my temp for the fan switch when he did my dyno tune , that works the best , but this does sound pretty cheap to wire up .

I am pretty sure kauffmans uses the same efi solutions software . So it should be no problem to get them to change that for you

Anyone intersted in which wire of the ECU to tap into ? I can pull my kick panel tonight and refresh my memory. Just need to tap a wire into the right wire with a switch that grounds it. You flip the switch to ground it out, and the fans come on. I think it was a light green wire with a pink stripe. If anyones interested I can look, and post back up.

The write up that Allen2003 posted says the wire is a light-green with purple stripes. Sounds like a simple mod!!!
