I got ford Contour electric fans on my 86 Stang. When I am in traffic the car runs cool(160-170 degrees). When I am on the freeway moving at 65mph the car doesn't cool as easy and the fans almost constantly stay on. Any ideas on what it could be? I have the fan wired to a toggle switch. Yeah I know I am to cheap to buy the sensor.

If it runs cool while stationary, the fan should be fine.

Be sure the air dam is present under the car.

Did 86's have this air deflector? My 86 Vert does nto have one either and it gets hot on the freeway but i think its due to a clogged radiator which I will fix this weekend...

Almost certainly a clogged up radiator.

Depends upon the thermostat, but stock is roughly 195*. Give or take 1-2Degrees.
