hllonwhls - what kind of power will Dart's 302 or 351 aluminum blocks stand up to?

If I remember correctly, DART claims 2000 horsepower for the steel blocks. Dont have a clue about the aluminum..

I was on that site looking at a buddy's blog. That's all. I got sucked into the Automotive threads. What a mistake.

Anyway, the site is basically full of "kids" who have an array of European Supercars dispersed among their daily Cobras and Shelby's. And no matter what, the guy who posts after you is even fast and more expensive than you.

Anyway, I say 18 pounds of boost and 10.5:1 compression and got tickled. I was REALLY looking for a little note like "and I run diesel" on it.

Yeah, I know, there's always this guy that your buddy once read about on the internet who worked for NASA who did it . . . once, but let's face it, this is HARDLY the norm. I'm STILL not sure it's possible.

1,000 hp is a brute and probably short lived especially in a 302.

MAYBE I'd have bought it in a mountain motor or at least a stroker Windsor, but the rest is crap.

Thanks for pointing out the EGR and other items. I should have picked up on that.

Guy is probably 13 years old on his mommy's computer.

I know. That really did make me laugh. All of a sudden this guy goes from supporting a foolish theory that he has created to asking a question that someone who supposedly knows a lot about these motors would already know. After seeing all of the posts I actually decided to read the entire thread. Now I know why it's gone on for this many posts.

What throws me off the most is the fact he says it's a 93 Cobra, that leads me to believe the rest is BS since it all sound so far fetched. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it would be a hard setup I would think. Dunno, hey I'd like to see it in action.

So he's making 737 rwhp in a stock block with 48# injectors ??? I don't think so. At least not for very long. 48# injectors won't flow enough even at 100% cycle.

10.5:1 + 18psi... sure. and a 150shot can't argue the nitrous since I've never had any experience with it.

Streetable ?? absolutely, as long as he's towing his own barrel of race fuel along behind him.

That guy is full of crapola ! But I on the other hand have a 3.8L making 1271hp. Custom aussie heads, xyz cam, 2 of the big ones atleast 500 shot, aluminum fan, turbo charged 30psi 100hp, blowzilla 300hp, and double stack spoiler 221hp. Don't worry about the block! It's strong enough. I wrapped it with 2 whole rolls of DUCT TAPE. Sorry no pics, the flash would ruin my custom $15,000 paint job.

Except when it is behind a full size 65 Chevy with a 250 HP 327. Then it's a lead sled - or at least that's how I remember it over 32 years ago...

Hi Guys.... Im The Owner Of The Stang Everyone Is Talkin About

So...... Someone found me on myspace and told me about everything that is being said about my car.... Everything is true about the car, and i have all the slips for the car.. If you think my stang weighs 2900lbs your crazy the car weighs 2337lbs . I am at work right now and will be posting pics of everything tonight. Oh btw... Its been awhile but i think i still might have the letters from 5.0 stang askings if they could do a story on the car. The car has 38,935 orignal miles too. But will be more than happy to explain the whole story about this car, and why i have made this..... Another thing.. If anyone lives in DFW area, that has the balls to talk about my car and my money... I will be more than happy to race them at Ennis Race track for pink slips. Just to be honest I still have the powerglide, but Have the T56 tranny built by wickline racing tranny's. Can't wait to show pics and rip whome ever a new ******* on the street if you want a piece.

...regardless of what the car can do (it's just a piece of equipment) -- when you order your next mod -- also order up an extra large dose of humility ---- it seems clear you could use it.

haha mike mike mike..... your pretty tough for a lil guy huh? All i post is a comment that i would like a chance to explain, not really prove myself.. you will always have those people that could even seen the car run in real life and still talk **** about it... is the kinda of person you are? sounds like it..... So anyways alot of those pics are old and are about 2 years old. I have a bit of a diff setup now due to the low end not holding up...... So i will be a gentlemen and leave this forum alone... btw who ever said i was 13 year old on mommys computer? real nice touch. If anyone is intrested in the car find me on myspace, or send me an email like everyone else has. The car is for sale btw if anyone is intrested in buy a race that is pretty much track, and race fuel only. Thanks for the ole school guys that gave me some support in this whole issue considering this whole for is about my car, and i had no idea any of this was going on..

Stuart..

now that everyone here has called you can see what they dont like about it and go research some more. now you are going to have a stroker kit, dart block, etc. lets just see what you come up with. we will be waiting for it, and many others will still call after you come up with some more cool mods.
