Hey guys!

I went to a local speed shop to talk to them about gears, but his is what they told me about the speedo.

They said they couldn't use a speedo gear on my car (1998 GT Auto ) and that they'd have to use a tuner. I though that was only the 99+'s... He said it was b/c it was an auto...

Is this true, do I need a tuner or Can they do a speedo gear...

Thanks so much...

Well, my odometer is analog... Couldn't tell you if my speedo was? I assume it's not, but that's why I'm asking. I thought they went electronic in 1999+'s.

Do not use a replacement gear even if one is available. It will shred within a year, guaranteed.

Use a SpeedCal (see sig) or a chip or have your EEC reprogramed by ModularPowerhouse.

That can also be done with the EEC reflash.
