Most important is research local painters. You would rather spend a little more for a great job than to get a cheap job and get crap. I would say in the area of $600-$800 for the hood. Good luck.
seems kinda high, i remember back like 6 years ago getting one painted for my old fox body and it was like 200 bucks came out great but i dont know in the last 6 years prices may have gone up?

If its 500-600 i'll just pay 900 for carbon fiber and be done w/ not having to paint.
Cuz if i do get a fiberglass i was gonna paint it black anyway.
I replaced my fiance's '07 hood w/ a black one because hers was dented. Had it painted windveil blue at a local shop a month ago. To paint both inside and out was $350. They also did a slight blend on the fenders. Turned out great, looks like new.
