I've got a '93 Fox 5.0 with an A9L. Has a mild cam and a GT40 top end, drives good on the stock tune but I'm hoping to squeeze a little more power out of it and hopefully improve some of the poor drivability characteristics especially at low speeds and idle.

Anyone know of any good shops in Washington or Oregon that can tune my stock ECU and install any necessary hardware to make it work? Preferably in the greater Seattle area? Also wondering roughly how much this would cost and if you guys think its worth doing.

If you want to use your stock ECU and have someone tune it then you will need a chip like an SCT. The switch ship and cable:

It says it does not come with the cable so I would call them or make sure where you buy it from includes it.

Dealers list is here and look for ones that can custom tune. You will need to call them and see if they have an old salty dog tuner in the back that can tune one of our cars as its a dying art anymore.

If you want to use your stock ECU and tune it yourself then a Moates QuarterHorse is about your only option.

I have no idea who tunes these other than jumping on the Digital Self-tuning Forum here and ask.

I'm not overly attached to the stock ECU it just seemed like it would be easier and cheaper to go that route compared to a standalone. If that isn't the case then it seems like Holley Terminator is the way to go.
