If the under hood harness was removed that will affect the temp, oil, not sure about the volts I dont remember. The fuel gauge should work if I remember. I had to cut the plug end off the under hood harness and find out which wire goes to the gauges and hook them up seperately for a clean look.

I just went through this on my 92 a carbed car...I think on mine it was a red with white stripe and red with green stripe for the oil pressure and water temp if I remember. You will know it is the right wire when you ground the wire the gauge will go to max reading (I found them by elimination.), this will not harm the gauges. I just bought new senders from the local auto parts store.

Later I bought a wiring diagram online which is a good investment you may want to consider.

(Near the driver side firewall)

On the Black Harness:

---(red/white 20ga) to the temperature sender.

---(white/red 20ga) to the oil pressure sender.

Not dumb at all

Most people just yank out their computer, or just simply disconnect it and don't bother removing it from the kick panel.
