i have a couple misc. questions i've come upon while pulling my engine and preparing for my new one.

i have edelbrock performer rpm heads, pedestal mount. i took my stock rocker arm bolts i was using and went for a test fit on the heads. they dont fit, what size bolts are you edelbrock head users using? i looked up the edelbrock bolt kit (#8552) and it gives no sizes. what sizes should i go order?

i had to unscrew my o2 sensors to get my headers off. so they were sitting on the floor still connected and when i pulled my head, all the coolant leaked on one of them. it got quite abit of water on it, is it toast now from the water or will it be ok? it will have plenty of time to dry out im sure, but im not familiar with them really so i wanted to check.

lastly, i cant seem to find the upper to lower intake gasket for performer rpm intake. i got part #7220 off the edelbrock site, but on summit and at my local shop it shows up as nothing. does any performer rpm user have a different part number? or possibly a felpro number for it?

thanks alot

Best to get the gasket from E-brock, Summit or Jegs should be able to get it for you.

O2 is trash, best to replace them and do it in pairs.

If the stock 5/16" bolts are not working I would say they are 3/8", the E-brock tech line should be able to help you.

Hmm...well O2 sensors are expensive...I'd be willing to bet (even as sensitive as they are) that they might be fine...

I'm not for sure on the RPM and Performer intake difference...but I got my Performer upper/lower gasket from Summit...search for the Performer RPM intake on Summit and then go to the suggested parts for it and it should have a list of a couple gaskets/bolts...and maybe one of them will be what you need...

I think for the Edelbrock heads you need special bushings for the bolts don't you?

I'd go with new O2 sensors just to make sure the car runs at peak performance with the new engine. I picked up some fairly recently for like $35 each at the napa by my house. Keep us posted on the engine, and performance when done!

Coolant kills O2's

The Ebrock head do use a bushing for the 7/16" head bolts, the kit is called out in Summit.

i bought the head bolt bushings, but the rocker arm bolts are too large.

the stock at 5/16 are too large, so im thinking they are 1/4". i waited 30 minutes on the edelbrock tech line today then just hung up so ill have to try tomorrow or just buy some bolts on my own.
