Hey guys
This was the reward of 4 hours of work this weekend with the buffer and some polishing compound. The paint was sooo badly oxidized before this that i was embarassed to drive the car. Here's two quick pics i brought with me to work today. let me know what you think. That is original 1991 single stage paint and one coat of hard shell turtle wax. Let me know what you think.

Also i have one center headlight that is yellowed. The other is perfectly clear still. I tried to polish the outside of the lens to no avail. Do i have to take the headlight apart to clean the inside of the lens? Thanks.

No way...i will never run turndowns again. I ran dumped 40 series flows for the longest time. With shorties, with longtubes, with a catted H, and with an O/R H....they all sounded like chit. Sounded like a chevy dump truck. The tail pipes brought a lot of tone back...and improved all aspects of the sound.

Those tails are custom mandrel bent 2.5's...they flow really well and i actually like how they look. That little bit of pipe is all you can see, even from the side. They are tucked up in there really well. The last 1.5 ft of the tails are dead strait...much like an LX pipe. There is no GT turndown at the end. Thanks for the compliments though.

Nice job! On the headlights, you need to wetsand them and rub them out with your buffer. Take them off the car to do this. I did mine like that. They cam out 99.9% better than they were before. BUT...they still are not as nice as the new turn signals and side markers I bought. I will buy new H/L's next year.
