i just picked up a used cervinis 2.5" cowl hood painted black already and ive ben having major problems getting it on...right now it goes down, safety hooks on and it starts to push down the hood lck but then it just stops and wont go any further. I have removed almost everything, rad hold downs, pulled the battery and tried, removed hood bumpers. now the only way i can adjust it is by loosening all bolts but i cant move directly Side to side, only forward and right or forward and left (depending on what side im moving) is this right? or shoud it go left and right directly? o and i also adjusted the hood lock too but to no avail... i am so close to bringing it to a body place, i went to get quotes but i cant imagine paying around a 100 to have some align a hood. and i think i can see that the hood it hitting the radiator itself, now i think im screwed if thats happening. O and its also sitting higher then the fenders at the back corners....sorry bout the ranting...anyone have any sggestions or have these problems? when doing this? thanks for the help

If it's hitting on the radiator then something is wrong, very wrong because it shouldn't be anywhere near there. Are you sure it's a hood for the right year? Sounds like your problem is getting it closed, not getting it strait right? Fits good, won't latch? If you're sure it's hitting on something, get some white chalk powder and dust it down so you can see where it's hitting.

yeah basically hood looks sweet...people say "well whats the prob" and i go over and lift it up lol... the safety hooks but it doesnt lock in the clasp part....and with the chalk idea when the hood rubs it leaves a chalky substance behind which is the fiberglass rubbing...i can see a skim from teh radiator and part of the hood clasp piece is rubbing (the plate that the Adjustable clasp bolts onto. i dnno what to do anymoreeeeee  :nonono:
