cracked h-pipe...advice?

i took the car into the shop to have my .373s put in, and they did, and i asked them to check out an exhaust leak too that i have been hearing but couldn't pinpoint, so when they did they found that my h is cracked close to the passenger side by the collector. depending on how bad the crack is would it be wise to weld it up or do i have to splurge and buy a new midpipe? i'll find out more obviously when i leave work and get the car myself to take a closer look...

If they can weld it and the pipe is good condition then go for it. some shops can even repair a section by cutting it and rebending a new piece, flaring the end if needed to slide it onto the old pipe and weld it on. It might not look show worthy but it will work fine and probally be cheaper than a new H.
