I have a crack in my PI intake with the aluminum crossover...I replaced it with the satin typhoon intake...mostly because of the looks and the fact that it isn't plastic...has anyone used this? Are there any power gains with it?

What could have caused my intake to crack...and it is a 5" crack!

i'd get the TFS intake.
i've heard of too many bad things about the PP ones. a local shop actually put one on a car and took it off b/c it lost power with it! this was a s/c car too

Anyone else with any experience with it?

What is the PP you referred to?

Thanks!

It is on the front part of the intake..the part that sits down in and is actually facing the front of the car...it is literally about 5" long!

It cracked because Ford did a bad job of designing it. I replaced my stock plastic-crossover intake with an aluminum one recently to avoid this problem (not really, but it's a nice fringe benefit )
