Hey there- I'm trying to remove the crank bolt on a 5.0 out of the car with just the flywheel, oil pan, and heads on it- any suggestions/solutions? Thanks! Mark W.

Use an impact gun or have someone use a flywheel holder while you break it loose.

Good luck.

It's out of the car, and not going back in until it's back from the machine shop. By the way, the flywheel's off- I needed to get the engine off the hoist- so new plans
Where could I get a chain wrench? Thanks- Mark W.

An impact should work.

a chain wrench looks the same as an oil wrench ! only with a chain instead! you can find them at most auto parts stores!!

Alright- figured out plan R- my friend's neighbor has a DEMOLISHED (t-boned/quartered by a semi) 5.0- just stole the input shaft from that (the T-5's apart) and used it to hold the crank in place- thanks all! Mark W.
