So basically the title says it. Ive had, pretty much since the spring install and shocks/struts, just a really loose steering problem over bumps or when the road has ripples or anything, and its finally annoyed me enough. The alignment is good, got it done after the work, and all the wheels were just balanced. My first thought was a bumpsteer kit but I have no idea what it does, what it is, and how to install it? tell me something about them please..

Bump steer raises or lowers your tie rods so they are parellel with your lower control arms and the ground. Get your car on level ground...look under there. Right now....I bet your tie rods are going on an upward angle to reach the spindle. They are supposed to be straight and level. The kits install in place of your outer tie rods, and they give you many different size spacers to move your tie rods to a desired location. They also have offset rack busings to address this problem as well. Either way you go...you must get another alignment.

Also remember...simple things like wide tires...pull a Mustang from left to right over any uneven road. How wide are your front tires? I thought the 245's on my notchback were bad till I drove my Cobra again...it has 275's.

This might be an overlooked problem, but just check if your tires are over inflated and if you power steering fluid is pass the max line, that combo gave me crazy steering back when you went over rough road.
