Critters in the engine compartment!

I noticed the other day that some critter has been chewing up the insulation around the battery. Does anyone know if someone makes a battery box for our cars?

I had the same problem on an '06 GT. The battery wrap and the hood insulator pad were chewed. Talked to a Ford service dude and he said it's not uncommon for rodents to do this. He suggested placing some D-con pellets under the engine bay. I tried it and have not had a problem since then. I did have to order a new battery wrap and hood insulator though. Easy replacement but a little pricey for the parts.

I had squirrels (sp) Nesting and hiding nuts in my air filter box. Used a piece of mesh to cover the inlet so they cant get in now.

Yeah I had some squirrels do 900.00$ worth of damage to my ranger engine bay. I put some moth balls under the hood to keep them out, it worked.
