i didnt a search and didnt really find anything, i was daydreaming at work one day and was thinking how awesome it would be to have a 4 door ford that handles. so what my question is is there any way to swap a 5 or 6 speed into a crown vic? and are there any legit suspension mods for them?

As far as suspension stuff for a Crown Vic, well, police car stuff will surely work. An easier car to build as a cool four door would be a mid 80s LTD LX. That was the small LTD that sort of looked a bit like a Fairmont. I kinda always wanted one myself. They were cool cars for their day. 5.0 with automatic, bucket seats, good (for the day) suspension. The best thing about 'em is that they are FOX chassis cars! Most Mustang stuff will work.

Click here for all your Crown Vic questions. This has been done many times. I see one around here occasionally.

Yeah a few people on Crownvic.net have done it, its a huge undertaking. The Bondurant Crown Vic's had the T-45, but then again they also had the Cobra motors.

i dont see why you couldnt put a t-5 in a vic. you obviously would have to cut the floorboard. i wonder if the clutch pedal from a thunderbird supercoupe would work. with that you might look into a hydraulic clutch setup too. way better than the cable.
