Hahah Hartford's South end... yeah thats where ALL the ricers go to race. I hear kids all the time mention the races and they are referring to that. The fastest you will see out there are 13 and 14 second cars. The real cars in our area don't race in hartford, they are smart enough to head out into the boonies, or long stretches of highway where there aren't tons of cops and people.

Because idiots with slow POS cars feel the need to show their dicks to each other, people with real cars built for racing (AT THE TRACK) pay for it.

Last night I was cruising in the Mustang, another 'vert Mustang was next to me... This ricer in an SRT-4 Neon had to make a bunch of stupid passes to get to us. The other Mustang driver let him pass. The idiot Neon almost ran into a dump truck trying to pass ME (I was just cruising). He reaches a red light and stops. By that time the Mustangs were coming up towards him... What does he do? He blows the red light. I guess he was scared to line up to a Mustang but doesn't mind breaking every traffic law within a minute.

I still say, CRUSH the rice. Crush it good! In fact they make a law to prevent ricers from ever getting on the road again. "Drive a bicycle for the rest of your life"...

They shouldn't have the right to crush someone's car. When a person makes a mistake you punish that person, you don't mess with their property.

How sad that Californistan is still the laughing stock of the US when it comes to backward ass laws.

cervini, that would be fine, but the Vic cruisers dont have SCs on them, so now the ricers would have their cars and police cars!

I've wondered the exact same thing. I'm sure this thread would have a different tune.

F-in idiots. Whatever happened to: get a small group of guys, find a desolate area, do your business, then leave. Not hang out in the open like attention whores trying to be defiant. Granted, that is every bit as illegal but damn. At least show some kind of common sense. "Damn you Vin Diesal" is right. These people have clearly seen too many movies.

The same way for the same behavior. When you find a video of a bunch of mustang owners saying things like "yo i gotta 93 mustang gt turbo NITROUS, that's for you too police", and "It could be 15 $1000 dollar tickets, I got credit cards yo", post up the link and I'll have the same reaction. I guess it's just coincidence that they happen to be imports in the video tho.

+1 I don't think the make and models of the cars racing is really in question more so the mindset of those who are driving them. There are PLENTY of reckless domestic drivers and have the same attitude as the "ricers". Unfortunately my generation is too stupid to seperate itself from fantasy land, that danged vin diesel. Obviously the comments in the videos show that the attitudes towards cops and traffic laws will never change so its time the traffic laws change, and cops start cracking down on this B.S. I know everyone is guilty of banging the gears outside of a racetrack, I know I am, but this video shows a totally different animal that is in no way acceptable.

I dont see the problem. Here in TX, if your caught street racing, its jail time, a suspended drivers licnese, and thousands in fees to get it renewed. The state can seize your car and sell it at auction.

Destruction of property used to commit a crime is very common. Guns used in crimes are destroyed by the thousands and a 2500 lb car moving at 100 + mph is far more dangerous and likely to hit a target than a gun.

The person couldnt commit the crime without the car and the method inwhich the car is being used makes the car a criminal instrument.

I also agree that it doesnt matter what make or model the car is, that type of behavior is dangerous and gives us all a bad rep.
