As many of you know I just got my car back on the road after like a year got some upgrades it was running great I was happy looking forward to getting more goodies. Well so much for the good stuff now for the bad... Monday morning about 1:30am I was drive to pick up my gf I was like 2 min away from my house and BANG my hood flys up smacks my windshield driver side hinge breaks and the hood flips over to the passenger side and hangs there. I called the insurance company and the lady was like ok someone will call you so the next lady calls and asks whats messed up and says We will probably consider it a total loss I was like Umm I knew you would say something like that but NO so she said you know anyone that can come look at it to see what they think so I found the body shop guy he says bring it over we'll see so I got a call yesterday they figure about 3,000 but they are saying 500-like 650 for a hood which I know is way too high. Tonight I heard the insurance guy called and said he was on his way to look at it and would call and talk to me well I never heard from him so I have no idea what the hells going on I hope they decide to fix it. I have plans to if they fix it to just get the side fixed now too and get the whole car painted same color of course.

Well as soon as I get my damn cable back i'll let ya'll know what I find out and post pics of it

That sucks man I would just buy some used parts and fix it right up. Was the 500/650 just for the hood or did that include paint too?

Thats gotta suck. Insurance companies are the worst to deal with. Especially random "Off brand" ones. Good luck, took an insurance company 4 month to cough up the money after one of their customers hit me.

Btw, what color are you going with.

Where can you get good locking Hoodpins? or the kind that have a string that goes into the car. I saw them on here somewhere. They go under into the grill.

Good news Nationwide says their gonna fix it. I have to meet with the body shop Monday or Tuesday to look at some mags for hoods and yes I will have hood pins from now on. Sad part is my gf asked me the other day about hood pins said " why would anybody put these on their cars they look dumb" i was like they hood your hood down I thought about getting them. After It happened I was like "thats why people buy them f-ing hood pins"

But yeah getting an estimate on getting the side fixed and whole car painted and yeah lime green again of course

Heres the pics

OK finially back on the net after almost 2 weeks guy came out said there was a bunch of stuff burnt up on the pole i was liek other guy said it was fine so my dad called comcast and bitched got a deal on my cable internet for like 3 months

anyway update on my car got a check from the insurance for 1770 and some change so I gotta pay the 500 deductible bastards so I told the guy I gotta pay that I want a Cervini hood lol i hope they make one like mine as for the rest of the car gettign painted he said probably around 3200 which will also depend on if they can get the insurance to cover a couple other things paint blending and stuff like that. I'm suppose to get a call after he prints out some hood pics and stuff and go from there hopefully in a few weeks i'll have some pics up of a even sweeter lime green stang lol I hope i can come up with the money to get it done
