Cylinder 5 misfire?

Ok, a little while ago my buddies dad decided to clean my engine for me. he used degreaser and water and was pretty liberal. Now I have a misfire in my number 5 cylinder. At first i thought water had slipped past the coil boot and gotten to my plug. I changed the plugs (nothing as wet either) thinking that was the problem. Still missing. Any ideas what it could be?

on the same note, i thought there was supposed to be a spring inside the boot that touched the plug. My 5,6, and 7 cylinders have no spring. They just have a metal piece that looks like it probably touches the top of the plug. I just had Ford replace my intake becuase it cracked at the thermostat housing. I now have the 01+ intake with the aluminum crossover. Would that be why i dont have contact springs or did the Ford tech screw up and not put in springs? Sorry for the long write up.

Unplug the COP's and let them dry out for a few hours.

If it wasn't misfiring until the engine was washed, but also wasn't misfiring after you did the intake swap, then chances are it's not something Ford did.
