Late last fall I found out that I had coolant leak, and later found out that there was a small crack in the intake manifold. I had the manifold replaced and parked it over the winter. This spring I started driving it and it was running like crap. I pulled the codes on it and it said Cylinder 6 misfire. So I started with the spark plugs. When I was about to pull the plugs on the left side where the intake leak was I realized that there was a lot of coolant down in the cylinder heads. When I pulled the first three plugs on the drivers side, they were very nasty looking. I have not got all the plugs back installed yet. So my question is do you think that all this moisture could have caused damage to the coil packs as well???? Thanks

It's possible.

Take the COPs out. Sop up as much of the liquid from the plug holes as you can. Then remove the plugs and clean them with a degreaser solvent. With the plugs out, make sure the wells are dry: Use a lint-free cloth down each one to dry the walls etc.

Inspect inside the COP boots, making sure they're all clean and dry. (You can actually replace just the boots and springs if need be...)

Re-assemble everything: Torque the plugs to 13 ft-lbs, use dielectric grease on the contacts and place the COPs back in. If the misfire continues on a given cylinder, swap the COP on that cylinder with one from another. If the problem follows the COP it needs replacing. If the problem stays with the original cylinder you've got other issues...
