Do not buy any short blocks from D & D. It took me about 10 weeks of fighting and calling everyday to finally get my short block. Its not worth the hassle.
damn. thats along time to wait, i almost bought one then they said 3-4 weeks if i was in a rush.
is it a quality shortblock though or look like it was thrown together? ive heard their claimed hp longblocks arent anything accurate either. no suprise, but thats what seems to attract everyone.
A friend of mine bought a D&D Super Hawk 500 HP....Blah Blah...Blah..... long block. It dynoed at 338 RWHP. They ended up sending him a different cam and it then made 342 and peaked at 4800 RPM. Didn't make any more power all the way up to 6500? They use Erson cams .
So he spent more money and bought a Cam Motions custom cam and made 405 RWHP. . Too bad it ended up dropping a valve the second time to the track and broke the block, head and piston.

personally i wouldn't tell the person who is checking clearances, balancing my motor, and putting my short block together to rush it. ten weeks isnt unreasonable IMO
