D@MN belt prob, keeps running off a/c comp toward rear

My main serp belt is now wanting to veer off the ac compressor, it is sliding over one groove toward the rear of the compressor. This is pi$$ing me off not to mention it has to be 23 degrees out and spitting snow! All the pulleys on the front from best I can tell are lined up. Could a faulty tensioner pulley or the tensioner itself cause this?? Any tips?? This is a brand new belt and my luck it is already ruined

Take the belt off and see if the tensioner or compressor pulleys have ANY play at all in them. Also make sure your compressor has all it's bolts still installed.

$10 says one of your pullies is def cocked or crooked. Just happened to a buddies chevy, and the belt would ride up.

Without even reading the thread at first, I thought you probably had a blower. When I installed my S-Trim, I over tightened the nuts holding on the tensioner which was pulling it towards the engine, and tossing the belt off a rib. Thats the first thing I would look into.

I do have a blower, powerdyne BD11A, so if the tensioner is too tight it will cause this??
